This is a Hardware Engineer role focused on designing circuits incorporating high-speed microcontrollers. You will be responsible for design calculations, pin mappings, and in-depth analysis of microcontroller and peripheral datasheets for both circuit and firmware design including registers, memory maps, and DMA. Key duties include circuit design for memories, communication interfaces, USB, RTC, DRAM, SRAM, Flash, and SD Card, as well as PCB design for digital circuits covering placement and stack-up. You will perform testing, performance capturing, and debug circuit performance issues on boards. The role requires knowledge of EMI/EMC testing and compliance with relevant standards, including the ability to fix EMI/EMC issues in analog circuits. You will use advanced lab equipment such as voltage sources, high-bandwidth oscilloscopes, and spectrum/network analyzers for validation. Experience with Renesas, TI, and ST microcontrollers is preferred, along with knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) guidelines. Preparation of DFMEA, technical calculations, and derating analysis is also expected.
