As a CPU Processor Verification Lead, you will lead the unit-level pre-silicon functional and performance verification of the processor core execution unit for IBM's next-generation POWER processor core systems. You will architect and enhance the existing verification environment for the execution unit of a high-performance processor CPU.
You will develop comprehensive verification test plans covering both functional and performance aspects, including estimation for coverage closure. Supporting higher-level core and system simulation environments and participating in post-silicon lab bring-up and hardware validation are key parts of this role.
This is a leadership position where you will guide and mentor a team of engineers and represent them at global forums. You are expected to thoroughly document verification environment details for future reference and continuous improvement, and to effectively communicate progress, challenges, and milestones to stakeholders. A strong background in out-of-order, super-scalar, multi-threaded core architecture, ISA, and at least one generation of processor core silicon bring-up experience is required.
