Network Support Engineer New
As a Network Support Engineer at IBM, you will manage NOC operations, troubleshoot WAN/LAN issues, and support firewalls and routing infrastructure. Your responsibilities include monitoring and troubleshooting WAN, LAN, VPN, and Wi-Fi networks while managing and resolving L1/L2 incident tickets within SLAs in a NOC environment. You will perform routing and switching troubleshooting involving OSPF, BGP, and VLANs, and support firewall configurations, VPN setups, and security policies. Coordinating with ISPs, vendors, and internal teams for issue resolution is essential, along with maintaining documentation, logs, and knowledge base updates. Strong hands-on experience with routers, switches, and firewalls (Palo Alto/Cisco) is required, as well as experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or Zabbix. Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems is expected. Certifications like CCNA/CCNP and experience with SD-WAN or cloud networking are preferred.
