FinOps Engineer
FinOps Engineer role driving cloud financial accountability and efficiency across the organization with emphasis on AWS. Key responsibilities include partnering with product and engineering teams to analyze cloud consumption patterns and identify cost-saving opportunities, implementing and maintaining FinOps best practices (budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation), developing and automating dashboards and reports for real-time visibility into cloud spend and usage trends, leading initiatives to right-size resources and improve purchasing strategies (Reserved Instances, Savings Plans), collaborating with DevOps and CloudOps teams to embed cost-awareness into CI/CD pipelines, providing guidance and training on cloud cost management tools, working with finance and procurement teams to align cloud spend with business objectives, and continuously evaluating new tools for cloud cost governance. The role requires 6-8 years total experience with 2+ years in FinOps, strong AWS cost management expertise, scripting proficiency (Python, Bash, Perl, SQL), and advanced Excel skills.
