This is an Assistant Manager position within the Audit team, supporting KPMG's Cayman Islands practice. You will lead a team of experienced professionals, perform reviews, and work on audit engagements for international KPMG teams and clients. The role involves undertaking smaller and medium-sized assignments independently or assisting in larger assignments under a Manager or Senior Manager.
Key responsibilities include establishing strong professional relationships with onshore team members through regular meetings and calls, providing updates on work pipelines, and reviewing and coaching subordinates on their work. You will offer technical and transaction-based accounting advisory support and research to international KPMG teams and clients, including implementation assistance with new accounting standards.
The role requires preparing and presenting accounting workpapers, documenting controls and audit findings, and auditing complex sections of financial statements as per country-specific statutory requirements. You will also be responsible for identifying issues and missing information, managing and tracking open items until resolution, and providing support for proposals and business development activities.
Candidates must hold a professional Chartered Accountancy qualification (e.g., ICAI or ACCA) with 3 to 4 years of relevant post-qualification experience, preferably with a Big 4 firm.
