AI Engineer

This is a hands-on AI engineering role focused on designing, automating, and maintaining build systems and deployment pipelines for AI/ML components, with direct development work in C++ and Python. You will design and implement robust build automation systems for large, distributed AI/C++/Python codebases and develop tools and scripts that enable developers and researchers to rapidly iterate, test, and deploy across diverse environments. You will integrate C++ components with Python-based AI workflows, ensuring compatibility, performance, and maintainability. The role involves leading the creation of portable, reproducible development environments with parity between development and production. You will maintain and extend CI/CD pipelines for Linux and z/OS, implementing best practices in automated testing, artifact management, and release validation. Collaboration with cross-functional teams including AI researchers, system architects, and mainframe engineers is key to aligning infrastructure with strategic goals. You will also proactively monitor and improve build performance, automation coverage, and system reliability, and contribute to internal documentation and knowledge sharing.
