Business Associate

As a Business Associate in the Quality and Risk Management team, you will deliver and execute projects on behalf of international KPMG teams and onshore clients. Your responsibilities include conducting secondary research using corporate registries, regulatory websites, stock exchanges, litigation databases, news aggregators, and professional networking sites to screen and assess potential risks. You will analyze and document screening results with clear English writing, focusing on adverse or negative media, Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), sanctioned countries, and high-risk jurisdictions. You will be expected to comprehend and mitigate risks based on process training and guidance, escalating in a timely manner any risks that cannot be resolved. The role involves engaging with stakeholders regarding delivery, SLAs, urgent requests, and reporting daily or monthly progress. You will liaise with internal stakeholders and risk management teams to understand requirements and document key issues. Knowledge of Singapore regulatory bodies such as ACRA and MAS, as well as experience in AML or Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) domains, would be advantageous. Regular updates on work pipeline through weekly meetings and calls with onshore teams are expected.
