Manager - Trade & Customs New
As a Manager in the Global Trade and Customs team, you will be responsible for setting up and managing a Global Trade and Customs Managed Services solution. This includes overseeing product classification, Free Trade Agreement (FTA), and Post Entry Review (PER) solutions at a global scale.
You will manage engagements end-to-end, including planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects while coordinating with operations teams on engagement billing, budget monitoring, performance dashboards, and KPI reporting such as hours, utilization, and productivity metrics.
A key part of this role involves ensuring the team's quality of work through timely feedback, continuous learning initiatives, and identifying areas for performance improvement. You will establish measurable SLAs and turnaround times, and drive process improvements and efficiency enhancements by leveraging tools, automation, and LEAN techniques.
You will train and guide the team with relevant process and technical knowledge related to Trade and Customs operations, conduct research on product engineering and manufacturing specifications, and review and audit transactional documents related to customs entries. You will also support pursuits, proposals, and engagement reporting.
As a Performance Manager, you will set goals, conduct interim and year-end reviews, and provide ongoing feedback to develop and grow staff reporting to you. The role requires strong people management capabilities and the ability to motivate team members across different services and clients while delivering results within tight deadlines.
