Senior Quality Documentation Engineer

This Senior Quality Documentation Engineer role in Chennai involves reviewing and approving vendor documentation — including Chemical, Mechanical, NDE, Corrosion, and Painting certificates (CMTRs) — to verify compliance with ASME Codes, purchase order requirements, and Emerson QA standards. You will interface with Supplier Quality Management teams to address documentation deficiencies, recommend corrective actions, and ensure all purchased materials and services conform to procurement specifications. Post-order responsibilities include preparing and reviewing customer documentation packets and uploading them to the Emerson portal in compliance with customer purchase orders. You will also investigate and initiate corrective actions for documentation-related complaints, implement new document management tools, and maintain thorough records. Preferred experience includes ASME Code valve data packet preparation, valve manufacturing knowledge, and familiarity with NDE, coatings, ASTM, and ASME Section II/V standards.
