BOM Engineer I

This BOM Engineer role in Chennai is part of the Bill of Materials team at Emerson''s FCEC and is responsible for reviewing incoming pressure relief valve orders and creating accurate Bills of Materials using SAP Variant Configurator and Master Parts Lists. You will support the Stafford Engineering team by creating BOMs for engineering queued lines, communicate with Application and Product Engineers to resolve order issues, create and maintain part numbers in SAP, and host Root Cause Analysis / Corrective and Preventive Action (RCA/CAPA) sessions for BOM errors. The role also involves approving newly created part numbers, managing modifications and deletions, performing data clean-up and mass changes, and maintaining team metrics and monthly reports. Working knowledge of pressure relief valves, regulators, and ASME/API standards is preferred.
