This Generator Excitation Project Engineer role in Noida covers the full lifecycle of generator excitation system projects — from requirements gathering and concept design through hardware/software engineering, simulation, testing, and site commissioning. You will design and develop generator and synchronous motor excitation systems including circuit drawings, BOMs, control logic, and protection/synchronizing systems, conduct FAT and SAT, lead startup and commissioning activities, and troubleshoot excitation system issues during operation. The role requires configuring communication protocols including Modbus, OPC, IEC 61850, and DNP3, and ensuring compliance with IEEE, IEC, NEC, and regional grid codes. Field service responsibilities include leading site teams for power-up, IO testing, loop checks, and fault diagnosis of excitation controllers and devices. Knowledge of protective relays, AVRs, CTs, VTs, and substation automation is strongly preferred.
