Full stack Lead

Join Barclays as a Full Stack Lead within the Cards Platform business area. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale applications using Java, Spring Boot, React.js, SQL, and CI/CD pipelines. The role involves building scalable solutions following scaled agile methodologies and ensuring seamless integration across business, tech, and product stakeholder systems.

As a lead, you will mentor junior engineers by providing guidance on best practices and technical expertise. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive technical innovation and excellence, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of high code quality. Ensuring comprehensive test coverage with automated test cases and maintaining code quality metrics through BDD and CDD models is a key responsibility.

You will develop unit tests to ensure high code maturity, implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, and contribute to policy development and decision-making at the Assistant Vice President level. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities are essential, along with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

This is a leadership position requiring the ability to balance technical depth with strategic thinking, driving delivery while fostering team growth and collaboration within a fast-paced financial technology environment.
