Lead Quality Engineer
As a Lead Quality Engineer at Barclays within the Cards Platform team, you will design, develop, and execute testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and user experience of software applications. You will develop and implement comprehensive test plans, create and execute automated test scripts leveraging testing frameworks and tools for early defect detection. The role requires strong proficiency in SQL, data validation techniques, and ETL testing methodologies, along with hands-on experience with data warehousing platforms and API testing tools. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, participate in design discussions, and contribute to acceptance criteria development. Performing root cause analysis on defects, working closely with developers to support resolution, and promoting a culture of code quality through code reviews are key aspects. You will lead a team performing complex tasks, set objectives, coach team members, and stay informed of industry technology trends to foster technical excellence.
