FullStack Developer
As a Full Stack Developer at Barclays, you will support the successful delivery of digital strategy projects while driving innovation and excellence across the digital landscape. You will harness cutting-edge technology to revolutionize digital offerings and ensure outstanding customer experiences.
Your primary responsibilities include developing and delivering high-quality software solutions using Java 17/21, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Security, React, and JavaScript. You will design and implement RESTful services, work with relational databases like SQL Server and Oracle, and use build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
You will be expected to write comprehensive tests using frameworks including JUnit, Mockito, Pi Test/Stryker for mutation testing, and Karate Wiremock/React Test Library for component testing. Proficiency with observability tools like Elastic/Kibana for logging, metrics, and debugging is essential.
Collaboration with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to define requirements and devise solution strategies is a key part of the role. You will participate in code reviews, promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing, and adhere to secure coding practices. Experience with GitLab/Bitbucket, cloud platforms, Jenkins pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Agile/Scrum methodology is highly valued.
