As a Lead Member of Technical Staff (LMTS) on the Trailhead team, you will lead a distributed team of engineers building and scaling Salesforce's digital learning ecosystem, supporting the global "Agentblazer" movement to equip leaders with AI-driven skills. You will drive execution by writing maintainable, high-quality code across the full stack using Ruby on Rails, Node.js, and React, while spending 30-40% of your time mentoring team members on design concepts (SOLID principles), refactoring, performance techniques, and architectural principles. You will collaborate with technical architects to design and document new systems with a quality-first mindset, minimizing technical debt. Responsibilities include developing test strategies and automation frameworks using tools like Cypress and Jest, providing rigorous code and design reviews, and partnering with Engineering Managers to guide team priorities. You will guide the platform's evolution as it blends the core stack with Salesforce's Lightning Web Components (LWC) on Heroku, and champion the adoption of modern AI development tools and LLMs including Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, Gemini, and OpenAI.
