Senior Manager, Software Engineering, Missionforce New
As a Senior Manager of Software Engineering on the Missionforce team, you will lead engineering teams focused on building AI-first public sector solutions for government and personnel use cases. You will drive execution and delivery of features by collaborating with cross-functional teams, architects, product owners, and engineers while making critical decisions that contribute to the product's success.
Your responsibilities include daily management of stand-ups as Scrum Master, partnering with Product Owners to align on objectives, priorities, tradeoffs, and risks, and ensuring teams have clear priorities and adequate resources. You will provide technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members while maintaining high morale and empowering teams to self-coordinate with autonomy and accountability.
You will participate in architecture discussions, planning sessions, and cross-functional coordination with leads from other engineering teams. The role requires proactively foreseeing and resolving issues before they arise, vocally advocating for technical excellence, and occasionally contributing to development tasks such as coding and feature verifications. You will also maintain team quality by interviewing and hiring top-tier engineering talent.
