Architect- Database Store Services New
This role focuses on architecting and developing cloud-based database store management and archival services that deliver high availability, durability, recoverability, performance, and scale. You will own the end-to-end design, architecture, and development of distributed storage solutions for a multi-tenanted transactional database system serving mission-critical enterprise workloads at petabyte scale.
Responsibilities include leading backlog planning and cross-team dependency coordination, integrating features with broader technical teams through architecture, design, code, and test strategy reviews, and collaborating closely with senior architects and engineering leadership to execute on the store services roadmap. You will resolve customer issues with urgency while maintaining a strong service ownership mindset.
The role requires deep expertise in distributed systems, public cloud storage technologies, Kubernetes, and system-level programming. You will build and leverage telemetry and metrics to drive operational excellence. Candidates should be highly skilled in Java or C/C++ on Unix/Linux, comfortable with container technologies and cluster operations, and experienced in SaaS development environments. Database systems and storage domain knowledge is a strong advantage.
You will also foster a collaborative, agile engineering culture that values autonomy, innovation, learning, and transparency while maintaining a high bar for delivery quality.
