Software Engineering PMTS Database Store Services New
As a Principal Member of Technical Staff (PMTS) on the Database Store Services team, you will work on a modern, natively multi-tenanted transactional database system that supports mission-critical customer workloads at petabyte scale. You will own the design and development of database cloud store management and archival services, ensuring high availability, durability, recoverability, performance, and scale. Your responsibilities include helping with backlog and cross-team dependency planning, collaborating with broader technical teams on architecture, design, code, and test strategy reviews, and executing flawlessly on the roadmap for your feature areas. You will resolve customer issues with urgency while adhering to a customer trust and service ownership mindset. You will drive a collaborative work environment across scrum teams that fosters autonomy, innovation, and transparency while maintaining a high bar for delivery. The ideal candidate has strong distributed systems knowledge, public cloud store skills, interest in system programming, and experience with clustering solutions and deploying code in public cloud environments. Database systems and storage domain knowledge is a strong advantage.
