Regional Sales Director - Public Sector New
As Regional Sales Director for the State Government vertical within India's Public Sector organization, you will own growth strategy, revenue performance, and execution across the vertical. You will manage and coach a team of Account Executives focused on enterprise and strategic accounts, driving adoption of the full suite of Salesforce solutions across state departments, ministries, and institutions.
You will be responsible for owning and exceeding regional revenue and quota targets with strong quarterly deal cadence, building multi-year growth strategies to expand Salesforce penetration in state governments, and driving account and territory planning along with pipeline discipline. Engaging and convincing various stakeholders—including state bodies, ministers, and IAS officers—is a critical part of the role. You will identify, shape, and close large transformation opportunities across AI, Data, Analytics, and CRM.
The ideal candidate brings 15+ years of sales experience selling into the government vertical, with proven leadership in managing and scaling enterprise sales teams. A strong understanding of government sales processes, state operations, state nodal agencies, consultants, and the RFP process is essential. You should have a consistent history of over-achievement, expertise in complex multi-stakeholder sales cycles, strong executive presence, and the ability to recruit and develop top talent.
