As a Cyber Defense Analyst, you will conduct penetration testing across IT infrastructure, web applications, mobile platforms, and thick client software to strengthen clients' cybersecurity posture against malicious actors. You will perform vulnerability assessments, application security testing (including Web, Mobile, and ERP/SAP), and Red Team exercises using both automated tools and manual techniques.
You will be expected to research the latest emerging threats including advanced persistent threats (APTs) and malware, and apply that intelligence to security assessments. Responsibilities include identifying vulnerabilities such as SQL injections, XSS, CSRF, security misconfigurations, and authentication/authorization flaws using hands-on techniques aligned with OWASP Top 10.
You will prepare detailed technical reports communicating findings and remediation recommendations, and work closely with stakeholders to address system vulnerabilities. The role also involves training team members on the latest cybersecurity tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
Additionally, you will contribute to business development activities including writing proposals, responding to client RFPs/RFIs, identifying business opportunities, and supporting delivery and program management for large cybersecurity engagements. A strong understanding of network security, infrastructure security, cloud platform security, and security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, and OWASP is essential.
