Base24 Application Developer

This role involves developing and maintaining BASE24 payment switch applications on the Tandem/NonStop platform for Barclays Payments Merchant Services. You will work primarily in TAL, COBOL, SCOBOL, and TACL, building and enhancing ATM and POS switch functionality using ISO 8583 message standards. The role requires deep knowledge of card transaction types, payment simulators such as MasterCard, Visa, FINSIM, and Versa Test, and understanding of switch architecture on Tandem infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements, conduct code reviews, adhere to secure coding practices, and implement unit tests to ensure reliability. Strong analytical skills and the ability to deliver high-quality technical solutions are essential.
