Principal Application Engineer

This senior-level Principal Application Engineer role in Bengaluru focuses on semiconductor automated test engineering, supporting key accounts and projects within the NI (National Instruments) business unit. You will work closely with sales teams to win opportunities by providing deep technical support across project delivery, issue resolution, and customer capability development. Core technical responsibilities include developing, debugging, and validating test programs for RF, mixed-signal, and logic applications, as well as designing sophisticated RF, analog, and digital test interfaces involving switching, filtering, and signal conversion. You will be expected to conduct competitive analysis between NI and other major semiconductor ATE platforms, and serve as the voice of the customer to relay feedback to internal stakeholders on gaps between customer expectations and available offerings. The role requires up to 30% travel domestically or internationally, strong project management discipline, and the ability to interface confidently with customers at the operations management level.
